AbstractThis article is concerned with the role of language(s) in education from the viewpoint of secondary school subject teachers in Finland at the time of transition to a new curriculum. The curriculum highlights the role of language throughout education and makes reference to changes in society that foreground multilingualism. Perceptions of Colombian Teachers about the Didactics of Social Sciences

The article seeks to answer the question about the perceptions that teachers have in training and in practice on the didactics of the social sciences in Colombia. To this end, a method with an interpretative approach with a mixed design is used to integrate the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the data produced on these perceptions in the context of basic and secondary education. The results present from the perceptions of teachers some correlations between the didactics they claim to use and the way in which it is expressed in their pedagogical practice. The transition to formal education is a critical transition in children’s lives that has importance for socio-emotional and behavioral functioning. In the transition process, teachers are key players who work intensively with children and their families. This article focuses on teachers’ perceptions of children´s socio-emotional behavior during the transition from preschool to primary school. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selvittää englannin opettajien ja erityisopettajien kokemuksia englannin opettamisesta oppilaille, joilla on kielellinen erityisvaikeus (aikaisemmin dysfasia, englanniksi specific language impairment). Tätä aihetta on tutkittu Suomessa hyvin vähän, mutta maailmanlaajuisesti aiheesta löytyy joitakin tutkimuksia (ks. esim. Malinen ym. 2013, Dockrell ja Lindsay 2001 & Brackenreed 2010).
